A question about ORACLE cluster

Hi all
Now I have a cluster with two HP L11000 PA-Risc systems and a 12H disk array and I've configured it successfully. Now I want to install an ORACLE software on the cluster and I want to install it on the shared disk in the 12H disk array.
So I have a question:if I successfully install oracle(version is 10g2 by the way) at system A when it holds the
12H disk array and then system A down, can system B recognize the oracle when it get the control of the shared disk(because I run "runInstaller" on the system A,that's what I'm worried about)?
Please give me some answer
Thankyou

Re: A question about ORACLE cluster

Shalom,

This can be done. Obviously the shared volume group must be activated or the cluster package script will fail.

There are a few parts of runInstaller that need to be run on both nodes. Take note of them, the steps required by root and such and do them manually on the second node.

You will need tnsnames.ora and listener.ora that will work no matter what node they run on.

Then you are done.
