Administration

I've rerouted the system dump files from /var/adm/crash to another file system to save files system space in /var. I cannot remember the configuration file I used to do this.
Can anyone help.

Re: Administration

Look in the file /etc/rc.config.d/savecrash and in that file is the line SAVECRASH_DIR=/some/directory

Re: Administration

The file /etc/rc.config.d/savecrash is good for 11.* and the file you want if on 10.20 is /etc/rc.config.d/savecore

Re: Administration

Another method to accomplish the same thing is to turn /var/adm/crash into a soft link pointing to whichever filesystem you wish.
