My only advice about upgrading from 9 to 10 is to make sure your system has enough memory. I've found that oracle 10G + our applications requires more than oracle 9. It may be apples to oranges but our application + oracle 9 ran with 6gb of memory. our application + oracle 10 we have 24gb of memory on a qa system and 32 gb of memory in production.

Re: Advice for oracle10G migration
No document, but there is a performance benefit for you going 9 to 10. DB version 9 had a problem with SGA memory fragmentation that could only be resolved by bouncing the database.
10.x Oracle DB can manage fragmentation issues while running.
Practically speaking that lets you run a database longer between reboots.
I would based on experience over the years plan on giving the database SGA values 20% higher than previous versions. The payback in performance is worth the lost memory.
It is never fun to run an Oracle system on a system that is tight on memory.

Re: Advice for oracle10G migration
I've done that same conversion for Oracle EBS, and was very concerned about performance in the switch from 9i to 10g. Happily, it was of no concern. Everything ran the same except for the few odd queries here and there that needed addressing for tuning. In our whole system there were probably about 10 of them. Most of them were custom, so we just hinted them to make them run like we wanted. A few of them were seeded Oracle stuff, so it was a bit more difficult, and we had to open SRs with Oracle to get them fixed.
All in all it went well, of course the handful of things that ran slower were an issue, and the things that ran faster we never heard about from the users. :-)
In summary - in your testing before go-live, ask your users to also pay attention to long running conc mgr jobs, or poorer than normal performance (for a test server) on queries, forms, etc.
