After Sendmail Patch

I started getting the following message on my console with some private info replaces by x's & 9's:

Mar 5 11:42:05 xxxxx sendmail[20357]: KAA18656: to=, del
ay=00:48:39, mailer=relay, relay=[999.999.999.999], stat=Transient parse error -- message queued for future delivery

The messages seem to be delivered after a while and in general sendmail seems to be working just fine with the exception of the new message.

I never received one of these messages before I applied the sendmail patch yesterday. The messages are appearing on the two servers that I updated. I'm using sendmail version 8.9.3 on both servers.

Thanks a lot for any help

Re: After Sendmail Patch

If you are using a relay server

DS
[IP_of_relay_server]

in /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

That server needs to accept your mail for relay.

Or the problem is with /etc/resolv.conf

see if nslookup yahoo.com works. If not, you need DNS.

If you have had changes in your relay server, start and stop sendmail.

/sbin/init.d/sendmail stop
/sbin/init.d/sendmail start
