Asynchronous I/O

how do I enable asynchronous I/O on a VXFS logical volume? I have created filesystem on the volume and mounted.

You can enable Async I/O by modifying the fs_async Kernel parameter. It is set to 0 (sync. I/O) by default. Change it to 1 and you should be in business. The kernel parameter fs_async ( a value of 1 ) will enable asynchronus I/O . But I believe its not only for one logical volume , it will affect all the logical volumes.
