How can i enable asyncronouos I/O on the operating system ?

You have to incorporate it in the kernel. Go to Sam --> Kernel Conf --> Drivers --> Change the state of asyncdsk and asio0 from out to in and recreate the kernel.

The fs_async is a tunable kernel parameter which can easily be changed in SAM (will force a reboot).
