I need to find out what is the most up to date 9000 server than can run 10.20.
The server that is being used at the moment is a D class (still trying to find out which model).
I've been asked to find something with a bit more grunt.
We cant upgrade to ver 11 as it is running some old software that cant handle 32bit 11 otherwise i would of used one of our spare L classes, shame about that.

SolutionBest spec server that can run 32-bit is a K580. You can also look at a D390 or R390 (same model, one deskside, other rackmounted). These can handle 240MHz CPUs. K580 is 6-way though, whereas D390 is 2 way.

I run a 6 way k580 and it has plenty of grunt.
You should be able to pick up a good one for a good price.

Re: Best spec server for 10.20
Might be cheaper than upgrading the softare and OS.

Re: Best spec server for 10.20
If you do buy a K class then make sure it will be able to run 64 Bit 11i as not all of the processors can, just in case you every drop that old software. (The D390, K370 and K580 can).
