Bus error (core dump)

I tried to do an Oracle export (Oracle 8.1.7.4) on HP-UX (64-bit) and I got the following error:

=================================================

Connected to: Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.4.0 - 64bit Production
With the Partitioning option
JServer Release 8.1.7.4.0 - 64bit Production
Export done in US7ASCII character set and US7ASCII NCHAR character setexport_base.sh[14]: 13259 Bus error(coredump)

===============================================

The export used to work, but I applied the Oracle April2006 CPU yesterday evening and now I get this error. The patch reported it was applied successfully, but I'm now wondering if it "broke" something else?

Any thoughts on this?

Shalom,

Usually, such a mystery is explained by what last changed.

If that is nothing, I'd go looking for patches on the metalink website.

Re: Bus error (core dump)

Can you tell what line in the shell script is the one coredumping?

Set 'exit' as you work your way down the script and you should be able to tell us which line is dying.
