Re: Can oracle 9i run normal ,OS:10.20,Plat:K360
If you can get it to work, it will not be supported by Oracle. If you get it to work, it will probably not work right.
The prerequisites, such as java and other necessary componenets will not work properly on 10.20. The required patches for the OS that Oracle recommends at http://metalink.oracle.com do not even exist.
This is not something that will work.
Upgrade the K box, which is at least certified for 11.00 and then you have a shot at getting Oracle to work. Hope you have lots memory.

Re: Can oracle 9i run normal ,OS:10.20,Plat:K360
Do not try to upgrade 10.20 to 11.0 or 11i as there are far too many incompatibilities to be successful. Instead, do a cold install for 11i and then add your applications (after verifying that the applications are also compatible with 11i). However, the k360 is also obsolete and fairly slow. An easier solution is to put Oracle 9i on a new rp24-- series. Then move data and applications to the new (and much faster) platform. The slowest rp2405 is much faster than the K360, much, much smaller and much cheaper thn the K360.
