Can't setup oracle 8i in HP-UX 11.00

You need to make sure all pre-installation requirements are mt.

Both your OS and the database are out of support, you might want to see about at least migrating to a supported OS.

11.11 is still supported.

- I post the jre files in directory /u01 and /home, but in no one of those directories it works properly. ls -la:

- I downloaded the java package from java.sun.com, but I could not find the java (HP-UX) package, so I downloaded the java package for solaris (tell me if this ok). ls -la:

- I downloaded PA-Risc JRE 6.0 but I couldn´t install it because itâ s for 11i and not for 11.00 version:

it is not available from depot or root "HPUX:/var/spool/sw".

No, Java for Solaris isn't going to do you any good - delete that and go find the HPUX java.

Don't I find java for HP-UX 11.00, but do I have the oracle cd, should The package java be in the oracle CD?

I found package java, i copy in directory Components and now displayed:

I change the Path of the variable CLASSPATH (pointing to rt.jar), but It follows the problem.
