1.Thus HP-UX 11i v1.6 support Cluster File System?
2. Which is a type of file system that is supported as cluster file system? (VxFS or ...)
3. Is it possible to create 2 node Itanium 2 based cluster on HP-UX 11i v1.6 connected via FC SAN to shared storage? Shared storage must use Cluster File System.
Regards

Re: Cluster File System on HP-UX
2) You canot have Veritas Volume manager (vxvm) and cluster volume manager (CVM) with it.
3) Not sure about that combination. The Fibre Channel network interface cards are not supported in this version.
Read the release notes of this version of MC/SG for details:

Re: Cluster File System on HP-UX
I`m not interesting for CFS for Oracle9i.
My point was cluster FS in general.

Re: Cluster File System on HP-UX
1) If you were talking about Veritas Cluster File system, I think it's only supported in HP-UX 11i and not yet on v1.6 OS.
2) If you need Veritas cluster file system configured, you need to purchase that suite seperately from HP or Veritas (VERITAS SanPoint Foundation Suite 3.5). Your "vxfs" file systems needs to be updated to version 3.5 inorder to install this.
3) MC/SG and CFS together is not supported by HP. Also about Itanium based MC/SG configs, refer to my answer on the previous post.
