Hi Michael,

congratulations.

He is now 1 point away from reaching 2500.

I think Australia has multiple timezones too.

Outstanding, Michael! Very well deserved! Thanks for the work.

Dang, Harry, you're on the ball! FYI, it's almost 8:00 AM Saturday in Eastern Australia and 5:00 AM in Western (according to http://www.worldtimeserver.com/).

Re: Congrats to Michael Tully

Hi everyone,

I saw the thread placed by Harry, and I
thought well I could could get my crown
today, but the boss called me to the kitchen
to help with breakfast for our toddler and
that was the end of that.

I have learnt many things in the last six
months from these forums and is great that
than I can give something back in the way
of teaching others. You get a feeling of
self-satifisfaction in doing so.
There is nothing like being recognised and
receiving congratulations from your peers.

Yes, Australia has three times zones and I am
in Eastern Australia (Sydney) in case you
were wondering. Perhaps Dan can tell us if
I am the first from my country to be crowned.
Our first real royal.... (ha ha) wouldn't
that be an honour.

Thanks guys.... that beer tasted good too!

Have a great weekend!

Re: Congrats to Michael Tully

Hello Michael,

very well done - I just arrived at home and you are already a king!
So you are the first king since my return (if that is important to you, at least :-) and I thank you not only for that, but for a lot of your answers (not for all of them, though ;-)

Looks like we have to create some new statistics (like who was fastest since wizardry, or so), right, Jim?

Is there anybody left without a crown (hey, Harry, what takes you so long)?

That we will be a very impressive meeting, all those queens and kings, next time (hope to be there!)...

May thou live in fun - ehm, forum, ehm, or so, Sire!

Wodisch (who is back from russia - and perhaps remembers too much of MVL (="Most Valuable Liquid"=Vodka), but I have been told it would help while administering...

Wodisch,

If I didn't have so many meetings Thursday and Friday, I'd be a lot closer. I should reach it by nov 9th. My first answer-post was August 27th. Then of course subtract two weeks for my honeymoon - Got married on Sept 15th, went to Aruba fro ten days! Great time, sun, booze, and sun!

Hi Michael:

Congratulations again, as I believe the FIRST member from the SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE! ---way "down under" as I think everyone says ;-)

To support my statement that we honor you as our southern-most member (based on user profiles, at least), have a look at the first twenty-one (21) Kings & Queens that I posted for Alex Glennie.

And, Wodisch, I'm working on some more statistics now that you have inspired me!

Congratulations all. Have one on me!

Re: Congrats to Michael Tully

Hi,

Jim.... No actually I waited until after midday that day.....

Fosters.....yuk.... sorry but it is. The export version is different to what they serve here.

My favourites (not in order)
Cascade Pale Ale
Coopers Pale Ale
Tooheys extra dry
Kilkenny (not aussie)
Tooheys Pils
VB
XXXX (Yes there is such a thing as we can't spell beer!)

There ya go.... y'll learnt somethin about Aussie beer!

Re: Congrats to Michael Tully

Go Aussie! (I'll refrain from using the catch cry from the Olympics and the recent World Swimming Titles in Japan - I think we have all heard enough of that).

Well done Michael. Great to see a fellow Australian getting in amongst the points.

As for calling XXXX a beer, that is really borderline. You must have Queensland blood in you to enjoy that stuff. At least you have redeemed your taste in beer, by mentioning Coopers Pale Ale. (Also, try the Sparkling Ale or Dark Ale for a change - very nice).

Cheers,
Dave Allen - (Only 2 thousand, 4 hundred and something points to go).

Hi Dave,

Many a long moon ago, when we went to Queensland for a holiday.... there was only XXXX to drink.
No northern blood in me!

Keep it up if I can get Royalty, so can you!
