Re: Congratulations to Alexander M. Ermes

Hi Paula, Sanjay (and, of course, Alexander!):

Yes, I confess, in this case I *have* maintained an ordered list including the link to each Royal's congratulatory thread. When I originally compiled the list, there were twenty-one Royal members. I figured that having put it together it was too easy not to maintain (at least for a while!). Besides, it feels like a family geneology; and a family is what we are, aren't we?! But please don't tell anyone of this secret list, as my reputation for having a good memory will certainly suffer. ;-)

Regards to all!

Re: Congratulations to Alexander M. Ermes

Ah Ha

The secret is out.
---------------------------------

Yes this is the place to be.

I do not think that HP when they initially set up this forum that it would be so successful and its success is all due to the amazing people on the forum that are willing to share their knowledge.

I feel that when on the forum I am either talking to friends or assisting colleagues and enjoying it.

It is very relaxed at time (Sys-admin-humour) and at other time I can hear the cogs whirring when someone has a difficult problem.

The speed of response to a dead server question is amazing.

To all on the forum ???Keep ???em coming???

Congratulations Alexander! Very well deserved! I appreciate your contributions!

Paula, James - do you feel the need for a group hug? Actually, the sense of family is indeed a plus to this community. I may never get to meet any of you in person :-( but it's good to know I have kindred souls out there in cyberland.

Re: Congratulations to Alexander M. Ermes

Good day to all of you.
This was a nice moment opening up this posting and reading all these good wishes.
a BIG thank you to all of you.

JRF :
nice thing keeping track. I still think you will be fed through pipes and hoses and you are connected thru a neural interface.

Paula,
my special thanks to one of the ladies in the Royal court

Clay,
i just keep kicking my son to keep track for that target

Mike Tully and all the guys who passed my on my way
your success kept me going

Darrel,
that group hug is a great idea

Kenny
all the members of the Royal court started at the same point. Keep it going and one day you will also get a stiff neck from this metal hat.

Animesh
Thanks for the nice nick.
keep it going. At the point where you are, i thought i never get where i am now.
Don't loose hope and keep it up
;-)

Patrick
i will become even better ( i am not used to say i will try ), i hope.

Uday
your postings and answers also helped me through some nice problems

Steven
i will not forget you and your good contributions to this place

S.K.
You are not too far away from this point, so hurry.

This is really THE forum to be.
I have seen some places of other companies,
where the members go at each others throat,
but this is not the style i prefer.
I hope, ( for the people who could not do it yet as well ), that we meet in person some day.
God bless you all.

Re: Congratulations to Alexander M. Ermes

Hi again.
Some comments

Justo,
i knew i had that green cap somewhere.
Don't worry about typing the name wrong.
That happens from time to time and is no offense.

Signore Farrugia,
always ready to help. I have jammed my fingers in mechanical things so often i cannot remember.

Alex Glennie,
i did not choose the short form of our first name, so that the people can see the difference and do not complain, if nobody answers to the call of help from Alex
;-)

Victor,
i have seen you pass me on your way.
I think, that some of you act like Scotty
telling his captain, he needs three day for repair , could od it in one, does it in 1.5 days and is still admired as a wizard.
You use the rest of the time to stick around in the forum, don't you ?
;-)

Mike,
here some info :
born in Nov. 52 zodiac SCORPIO ( the best you can ever get / the worst, if you are its target ).
Certified office comms techie
( typewriters, printers, adding machines etc mostly mechanical stuff ).

Now sysadmin and dba for my company since 1994

good wine ( no matter what country )
a good single malt whisky
a good game of chess ( if i have the time )
good music no matter what style
The area i live in Germany is close to the city of Duesseldorf about 25 km west of it.

That is a short description.
