Hello Manuel,
the TOAD is a good tool for manage database objects. Another good tool is the Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). If you are using the enterprise edition the OEM should be a part of the software. It's a very easy to use GUI based on java. You can create every kind of DB objects, create scripts for existing objets, show sql syntax while change objects and so on.
You can also use the OEM of the Oracle8i or 9i software.
Last year we've recreated a database with the export/import utilities and there are a lot of grants that wasn't exported and we've to recreate this objects manually.
