More disk space, probably a great deal more will be needed. I'm sure the application documentation will tell you how much disk space is required.

If not - it i still locked - and untill all those processes are killed, you won't be able to reclaim the space.
fuser -cu /your/file/system
to check, and fuser -cku to kill
If they won't die, you may have to reboot...
