Does anybody know if Oracle 7.3.4.4 runs on HPUX 11.0 32-bit ??
We have to test this constellation and get an error message after upgrading when we try to logon to the database :
oracle> svrmgrl
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: getrlimit64 (code) from /usr/lib/libcma.1
ORA-12547: TNS lost connection
SVRMGR>
?????
Regards
Andreas

Solution
Yes it does but it's a different version of the product. You need to install 7.3.4.4 for HP-UX 11.
As it stands, 7.3.4.4 for 10.20 will not run on 11 although I do recall reading somewhere that it could be tweaked somehow. Sorry but I can't remember how.
Regards,
John

Re: HPUX 11.0 and Oracle 7.3.4.4 ??
I am not sure if you have the Oracle error library but here is the output from your particular error:
# oerr ora 12547
12547, 00000, "TNS:lost contact"
// *Cause: Partner has unexpectedly gone away, usually during process
// startup.
// *Action: Investigate partner application for abnormal termination. On an
// Interchange, this can happen if the machine is overloaded.
Maybe this can help.
