According to www.google.com, MAXOPENCURSORS is used in Oracle.

According to http://mail.gnu.org/pipermail/help-make/2000-October/000066.html, shows how you can change the value in the makefile options.

Hi there.
Edit your init.ora / init${ORACLE_SID}.ora.
Find the line open_cursors and copy it.
Set the old value to remark and adjust the active line to the value you want.
