Informix 4GL 7.31 on HPUC 11.00

Has anybody managed to get Informix 4GL 7.31 to work on HPUX 11.00 (32 bit)? We need this particular configuration as weare also running Informix SE and that is not available for 64 bit.

I would stress that we are talking about INFORMIX 4GL version 7.32 on HPUX 11/00 running in 32-bit mode. Steve's answer talks about a mythical product Informix Online version 7.31 which I assume he means to be Informix Dynamic Server 7.31. The version of the database server software should make no difference to the Informix-4GL compiler, as any Informix professional would know.

Ok, not exactly your set up but this may help.

We had I4GL 7.31.UD4 installed under 11.11 on an RP5430 (64bit) and hit bug # 155818 which basically meant we couldn't C compile any programs! However I believe this bug was limited to the 64 bit version but it's worth checking with Informix.

Not tried this under HPUX 11.00 but I expect the bug to still be there.

We had to downgrade to 7.30.HC6.

I will be installing 32bit 11.11 on an older K class in the next few days, If I have time I will install both versions of I4GL and report back.

You may also want to try the newsgroup comp.databases.informix post a query and use www.groups.google.com to search for other posts on this subject. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious.

I've installed 4GL version 7.20.HC6 on the hpux11i K class (32 bit) it works fine
