Install Ora 9i link error on ctxhx.mk

Using Universal Installer, the product installs, but during the linking phase, I get a "target location" error when the installer is linking while reading the ctxhx.mk file.

Any ideas?

Revert back with the proper error messages.

Make sure that the pre-requisite hpux patches are properly installed before Oracle installation.

You have to make sure that you've fixed all patches needed for oracle 9i.Installation always fails for lack of patch fixed.

Re: Install Ora 9i link error on ctxhx.mk

Don't forget java and all the patches you need for that.

This could be java, it could be nprocs, it could be number of open files.

http://www.hp.com/go/java

http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/java/infolibrary/patches.html

Java 1.4 is not certified with all oracle products.

Build a patch depot on itrc, install it and try your install again from scratch..

Don't run your database like that, even if it does run.

Hi,

make sure that you have required patches and kernel parameters values set.

look at this URL

Re: Install Ora 9i link error on ctxhx.mk

Thanks to the answers. I installed the OS patches then got a SEMGET error. I then configured kernel parameters increasing NPROC and SEM* values. Installed correctly after that!

Thanks again!
