Installing off DLT8000 make_tape_recovery

I am installinga a make recovery tape from a dlt8000, I get the install message and then it scans the disk, but when it trys to install it doesn't find the source "dlt8000" which is there from the begining. Here is the whole message: could not find the source device 0/12/0/0.2 - what is happening here? Thx
