Re: Manual of tunning and performance

Hi,

The book I like is HP-UX Performance and Tuning by Robert F. Sauers and Peter S. Weygant from HP Professional Books, ISBN 0-13-102716-6. It does a great job of explaining it all.

Re: Manual of tunning and performance

Hi jairo,

I'd recommend:

HP-UX Tuning and Performance
Concepts, Tools and Methods
by
Robert F. Sauers and Peter S. Weygant

ISBN# 0-13-102716-6

start to becoming just a bit dated, but still VERY relevant on concepts, methods & terminology.
HP uses it in THEIR Perf & Tuning class.

HTH,
Jeff

Re: Manual of tunning and performance

There's lots of places to look for this. The HP Certified book by Rehman is a good place to start. O'Reilley has a couple of good titles; check out http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/spt2/.
I have the first edition and its really dated, so I'll have to get this 2002 edition soon.

Re: Manual of tunning and performance

A good starting place might be HP's own kernel performance tuning white paper:
