Name Resolution
Using a static ip on RedHat 7.2 -
nslookup on a hostname that is NOT
in dns will not resolve from the /etc/host file. I have tried moving resolv.conf to a different name. My nsswitch.conf looks like this:
hosts: files nisplus dns

Re: Name Resolution
Hi
try to use nsquery
# nsquery hosts
This is more "verbose" about where it is resolving from than nslookup.
