Noage par
We are using the Informix database on my server (rp3440-4 w/HP-UX 11.23) and the DBA wants to know how to turn on aging (NOAGE) on the server. I have looked in the tuneable parameters but could not find it.

Re: Noage par
NOAGE is not a HPUX kernel parameter. It is a parameter of Informix DB engine in your case.
The parameter is set in ONCONFIG file.
The DBA might know about this file. By enabling this parameter ( NOAGE = 1 ), you would turn off Unix "Nice'ing" which might give Informix server processes more CPU time (if that is what is wanted) thus increase its performance.

Re: Noage par
Here's a link for the setup for Oracle. I am sure that you can adjust it to fit your Informix setup:

"The difference between me and you? I will read the man page." and "Respect the hat." and "You could just do a search on ITRC, you don't need to start a thread on a topic that's been answered 100 times already." Oh, and "What. no points???"
