ODBC Driver for Oracle to connect to SQL Server on Windows

Does anyone know where we can get a ODBC Driver so our Oracle 9i version 9.2.0.4 can connect to a SQL Server 2000. I have been to Data Direct and they will be charging $2000 per CPU. I was wondering if there is a cheaper method we can use. Thank-You to anyone that can be of assistance.

Re: ODBC Driver for Oracle to connect to SQL Server on Windows

If you have the oracle client installed on a windows workstation, you can use a tool like access to access both databases.

Access comes with the ability to access microsoft sql databases. Then ODBC drivers for oracle can let you have a little access application that accesses both databases.

Or you could export the sql data and use sqlloader(another oracle tool) to get the data into oracle.

How to proceed depends on the mission requirements.

Oracle is currently installed on a rp7420 running 11.11. The ODBC driver I need is for Unix to connect to Windows.

hi,

you may wish to look into heterogeneous services and connect the other way round.
