Oracle 10g 2 directory standards

guys
can someone direct me to the standards for what in oracle 9 would have been OFA.
i can find standards for 10 g2 but they seem to all be using ASM which i am not i just would like to know whether the old spindle/directory structure is still valid if not what is the new recomendation.

Shalom,

Oracle directory guidelines did not change from 9 to 11 levels of the DB.

These are merely guidelines, I've never actually used the guidelines though I tried at one customer installation.

A document pointing out the standard for 9 is relevant for your context. I recommend staying away from ASM. I think systems administrators know more about disk and input/output than Oracles programmers do.

so agree about filesystem management, great i will refresh my memory on standard and the do it properly.

You can find all its about in Oracle installation guide. They have mentioned the file system structures as per their testing enviroenment.
