Oracle 8.0 and HP-UX 11i?

Customer is currently running Oracle DB V8.0 on HP UX 11 on K360 server.
Does this support the latest version of HP UX 11i, as he is willing to buy rp4440?
Also, If they donâ t do Oracle Development on HP UX does they need C++ as a prereq. Or not?
Is it a must to do Oracle Upgrade
Keep walking

Okay, Oracle 8 is not supported by Oracle on any OS any more.

It will work, but forget about suport from Oracle

Here are the requirments for the database from metalink on 11i. That will cover C++ and kernel and such. Its extensive

These notes apply to later versions but its a good idea to adhere to them anyway.

11.0, 11.11(11i) (32bit/64bit)

You can not go back farther than 8.0.6 on 11i

Its totally out of support.

If you have metalink access and need more:

Re: Oracle 8.0 and HP-UX 11i?

Hi,

From Oracle Metalink, it is stated that Oracle DB 8.0.x (32 or 64 bits) is desupported on HP-UX 11.0 or 11i.

For your info, HP-UX 11.0 will no longer have any QPK and HWE bundles as the core product will discontinue from 31 Mar 2004. However, patches will still be provided.

regards.
