Oracle I/O on HP-UX.

Hi!

We're receiving the following error on our ORACLE RAC installation over HP-UX:

Asynchronous I/O fails at times due to an insufficient number
of kernel resources leading to warnings of the form:

  WARNING:Oracle process running out of OS kernel I/O resources


The group dba has the the MLOCK privilege.
Whats happening?

you need to check with ORACLE for the exact kernel parameters need to be tuned for your installation.

Can you paste the below output
ulimits -a
sar -v 5 5
kctune

Thanks to everyone, the problem was solved.
It was due to a known bug in Oracle version, we installed a patch and everything is working fine now.
