Oracle utilize lot of CPU resources
Hi,
Required help on the CPU utilisation, I can see here oracle use up lot of cpu resources?
last pid: 6627; load averages: 10.82, 6.73, 5.41 17:39:57
145 processes: 132 sleeping, 11 running, 1 zombie, 1 on cpu
CPU states: 0.0% idle, 57.7% user, 32.8% kernel, 9.5% iowait, 0.0% swap
Memory: 2048M real, 30M free, 2356M swap in use, 3226M swap free
PID USERNAME THR PRI NICE SIZE RES STATE TIME CPU COMMAND

I would sit on this and find out the apllication scripts (sqls) running against this process and then ask the database tesm to investigate whether these can be tuned.
It is most of the time a bad sql !
lsof is a good tool to find out which process from the client has triggered this process

This may be normal. This might be an oracle user process. Try to see with DBA and users what requests are launched and if they can't be rewritten. proceed in this order :
tune SQL
tune Oracle
tune System
