Patching and Microfocus Cobol

Statement: Patched an 11i system, after which the customer experienced the following.

MF-LMF:Thu May 20 15:24:41 2004: LMF Starting
MF-LMF:Thu May 20 15:24:42 2004: License Key database is corrupt!
MF-LMF:Thu May 20 15:24:42 2004: LMF Closing Down

Question: I would like to know if a patch could cause the licence database to become corrupt?

any ideas??

It might not have corrupted the database itself, but it might have change libraries that mlmf uses to access its database. It seem strange.

What are the patches deal with ? I could tell you if I have these patch. I am runing Microfocus Cobol without problem with a rather up to date machine.

I'm afraid you will have to rebuild the LMF database.

It happened to us a few times
Do you have many license key / serial# to enter ?
