Port number for the existing instance of Oracle9iAS Single Sign-On
Dear all
I'm Installing Ora9iAS on HP-UX11i. So before installing Ora9iAS Portal and Ora9iAS Wireless I've installed Ora9iAS Single Sign-On as requered.Singl Sign-On Configuration Assistant started successfuly, but I didn't remember the port number which he used. And now Installer asks the Host name and Port Number which is used by Sign-On Configuration Assistant. The value 7777(by default)doesn't suite for continue the installation. So how can I define corresponding port number?
Thanks
Kerry

Re: Port number for the existing instance of Oracle9iAS Single Sign-On
Well, if you know the process name for the Single Sign-on daemon, then by using lsof (which you can get from any HP porting center), you should be able to find out which port(s) are being used by the daemon. Alternatively you can find all the ports in use by looking at the output of netstat -an|grep LISTEN and try to narrow down the list of contenders.
Hope this helps.

Re: Port number for the existing instance of Oracle9iAS Single Sign-On
hi,
After installing the Infrastructure, the SSO Login Page should be acessed using:
http://<:port>/pls/orasso
You will login using the orcladmin user and the ias_admin password. The port will be the HTTP server port of your infrastruture (i.e. 7777)
Thus, you should look for the HTTP server installation for your Infrastructure and modify the appropriate section in the httpd.conf
An easy way, would be going through the "Oracle 9i Application Server Administrator's Guide Release 2 (9.0.2) titled 'Starting an Infrastructure Using Commands on unix' where the UNIX commands are listed.
You can access this document on your documentation Cd or http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/ias/doc_library/90200doc_otn/a92171/start.htm#1018085
or
http://docs.oracle.com/cd_a97329/A97329_01/core.902/a92171/start.htm#1018085
Hope this helps!
Best Regards
