SHMMNI,SEMMNI,SEMMNS,MSGMNI
HI
I have 2 questions :
1- After some times that i think related to number of process ,when process reach to specify process number all of the client hang it and can not do anything until many process killed by hand in sco oracle 8.1.7 on sco unixware 7.1.1 ( i have got ORA-04020 error )
2- how can i determine rela value of SHMMNI,SEMMNI,SEMMNS,MSGMNI parameters on sco unixware 7.1.1 that oracle 8.1.7 installed it?

First of all, the recomended values are for the maximums:
semmns = 8192
msgmax = 8192
shmmax = 1073741824
Have you very different values?

See about the unixware equivalent to nproc and maxuprc
Either of those could cause the behavior you are experiences. Running out of total system processes or max processes assigned to any one user.
