Startup of an X application shows Warning: Cannot convert string "-dt-interface

Starting an X- application always reports
the following warnings . Application works fine but i want to eliminate this if possible

messages shown :
Warning: Missing charsets in String to FontSet conversion
Warning: Cannot convert string "-dt-interface user-medium-r-normal-s*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" to type FontSet

Can anybody tell me :
What may be wrong ?
Where to fix it ?
