Sybase/PeopleSoft memory allocation problem

Memory Recognition

Running ASE 11.9.2

This is on an HP-UX "N" Class Server running HP-UX 11.00.
We recently upgraded this server to have 5.00GB of memory.
The problem we have now is that if we have Sybase recognize 1.8GB of memory
then PeopleSoft(7) will not come up.
If we run Sybase with 1.3GB of memory then all instances of Sybase and
PeopleSoft will work.
Any clues will be greatly appreciated.
Points assigned as always...
Andy

It is, after all, a matter of survival!!

Re: Sybase/PeopleSoft memory allocation problem

Let me guess: These are 32-bit apps?

32-bit apps max out at 1.75GB of usable memory unless you use memory windows.

Suggestions:
1. Switch to 64-bit apps.
2. Otherwise utilize memory windows.
