Re: TNS:12500 Failed to start dedicated Server process
Hi there.
Here the official Oracle explanation :
ORA-12500: "TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process"
Cause: The listener was unable to start a process connecting the user to the database server.
Actions:
Verify that the SID_LIST section of the LISTENER.ORA file and the system identifier (SID) in the CONNECT DATA section of the TNSNAMES.ORA file are correct.
Verify that the user has adequate privileges to access the database.

Re: TNS:12500 Failed to start dedicated Server process
Hi,
in/etc/oratab the instance is enabled or not(y/n at the end of that line). and listener should be started by lsnrctl.
