The time has finally drawn.......

All,

Appears the time we've all dreaded has come.
As I'm sure all reasonable people would admit, war should always be the last resort...nonetheless...that time is now upon us.

So let us take a moment & reflect - pray if you wish - for the safe outcome for ALL those involved.

For every right reason I can think of, it's simply a fact that ALL human life is valuable.

Solemnly,
Jeff (Who wishes that our faith will remain as true as our emotions & intellect)

My thoughts are with those involved, and those that will lose their lives, both military and civilian, and of course, their families. I'm meaning those from the USA, England, and the other countries involved, but also those inocent people in Iraq.

Re: The time has finally drawn.......

Modern wars pose a great threat to the existence of whole Mankind.

Iam wondering why countries invests lot of money and talents to build a bomb.

why not build a high tech medical diagnostic machines like MRI , PET scan and reduce the cost burden on the people who suffers diseases.

creativity should be used constructively.

Re: The time has finally drawn.......

I am sitting here watching the news. And the site of America troops and Iraqis working together to bring down the statue of Saddam. That was very touching. And aftter the statue went down Iraqis jumping on it cheering with releive. Yes war is bad but the look of the images that I saw here make it worth while. The troops have smiles on their face look happy to be part of it. Check out
www.cnn.com
for the a great picture of old glory drapped over the face of the saddam statue. What the picture doesnt show is the sound of the poeple that cheered when the america flag was brought out. And put there. Or the site of Iraqis holding up the american flag and their flag at the same time.

Pete Seeger or Neil Young would say it better

I offer this thought:
Freedom is priceless & yet it's not a luxury
Dafence of freedom for all is our collective responsibility It's our duty

I heard a GOLD STAR MOTHER make this simple and eloquent statement on the TODAY show this morning:

"Freedom is never really free, is it?"

Re: The time has finally drawn.......

Did you ever wonder what it felt like to live in the generation that liberated Europe from the Nazi horrors?

The crowds in Rome that greeted the US Army cheering on the streets? Paris in 1944?

Well wonder no more, we have now lived that in our times.

Coalition forces, you have done a good thing. Please Iraqi forces stop fighting.

War is horrible. It should have been avoidable. Many should have thought twice or three times before selliing that terrible man his weapons(U.S., Europe are you listening).

Let us pray that this is the last war. Let us pray we stop as a species trying to kill each other over land, or religion or tribal grudges.

I drove from Chicago to Connecticut today. I could barely concentrate on the road as the radio told of the scenes today. The statue, the crowd handing OUR Marines flowers.

I cried. For nearly 100 miles I cried, and I am not ashamed to admit it.

I thought at one point that Ossama bin Ladin had drained my ability to feel any strong emotion. Love, hate, anger, sadness. Nothing could make me sad anymore after September 11. Today has changed that.

I pray ever day for peace. Hopefully today will be the day it finally comes true.

Oseh Shalom.
