Upgrade help

I will be upgrading from a K260 to a K360. The upgrade will eliminate HPPB slot 10/4/12, which is currently in use by our controller on the K260.

What are the steps to re-map the address and not lose any of the volume groups?

Note: Running HP-UX 10.20

The controller affected is 1 of 2 attached to an AutoRaid.

Re: Upgrade help

with the upgrade comes a script that converts the I/O mappings.

procupgrade.k260 (or something like that). it's on a tape/cd thats part of the h/w kit.

Re: Upgrade help

Are you sure that you are loosing HP-PB bus slots on an upgrade from K260 to K360? I don't think so...
If you lose a SCSI host bus adapter with a none boot disk you can export the VGs on this disks (or disk arrays) and import them after the upgrade. This is the easiest way
There is no good troubleshooting with bad data
