Users Reference that have Oracle 8.0.6 running on HP-UX 11i

Hi Everyone,

I just wish to find out is there any users/customers that you know of that has/have
Oracle 8.0.6 database running on HP-UXi.

If yes, please let me know as we hope to have some reference sites that have Oracle 8.0.6 running on HP-UX 11i before we make any decision on the version of HP-UX version.

It is not a good idea to start with 8.0.6.

If you are able, try to start with lastest Oracle versions... 8.1.7.2

According to Oracles certification matrix this should work just fine.

We are still running 8.0.6 but on 11.0.

Hi Carlos/Andreas,

Appreciate your reply. However, it is a must for us to adopt Oracle 8.0.6 because of the in house developed oracle applications are not ready to run on Oracle 8.1.x and above.
However, we are still debating to use HP-UX 11i and 11.00 even Oracle has certified it.
We need to have at least one reference sites that has oracle 8.0.6 running on HP-UX 11i

Do any of you come across this combinations at the user sites.
