When we do an interactive backup it works and no error messages.
HP hs already replaced tape drive and cable

Re: fbackup failure

Hi
You have a scsi device problem being reported, is the device in syslog your backup device (DAT/DLT)?

I would guess that the backup is failing because the target device is not behaving correctly.

Check all cables/cards and retry backup - if it again fails log a HP support call for the faulty device.

Re: fbackup failure

A few of questions.

1) Have you tried using schedule to run at 22:00?
2) The messages are from 2:16, at what time does the backup begin and how much time does it need when run interactivly?
3) Have you been on-site when the backup runs?
