hp-ux from 11.21 to 11.31

Who had the experience? How best to do this? What are the nuances of the need to consider? Servers in a cluster Subway Service Guard.

Really 11.21? Obsolete since years! Consider a cold install.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Forgot to say - check if your servers are really supported with 11.31 (what model is it?)!

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Perhaps you meant 11.23? check with "uname -r". From 11.23 you would at least have the choice of trying to upgrade to 11.31, rather than having to do a cold install. Once again, as Torsten points out, it all depends on your server model.

Shalom,

Big difference.

Yes upgrade is possible and supported.

Still not recommended.

upgrade-ux sucks. (Should really be windows software)

It fails more than half the time I tried it in the lab before I gave it up.

Cold install, followed by application re-install is recommended.
