increase in run time after converting rollback segments to undo

Hi all,

i have changed rollback segments to undo segments last week in one database.after changes, application ppls are saying that the one process is taking much time(14 mins in undo) compared to older ( less than 2 mins in rollback segments).
please help me how to proceed to solve the issue.
version of oracle is 10g.
Note: the undo tablespace is autoextend.

Thanks,
Nirmal

Hi Nirmal,

What release of 10g?

PS: re-check your points assignment policy...

Re: increase in run time after converting rollback segments to undo

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the response.

My oracle version:

Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0 - 64bit.

i could not understand what is meant by assignment policy.

Thanks
Nirmal.

Hi,

About the Undo tablespace, please post the following result:

select name, value
from v$parameter where name like '%undo%'

About point assignment, read this:
