Re: install oracle10g CRS on hpux 11i
The error ├в Unsatisfied code symbol 'gethrtime ├в is mostly due to the patch that is missing in your OS.There could be patch dependencies. Please follow up the patchset instruction of your OS documentation. Check OS requirements. Ensure that the required operating system patches are installed on your system. Unpatched versions of the HP kernel, will result in undefined and unresolved references to the gethrtime() library call.
CRS (Cluster Ready Services) is a new feature for 10g Real Application Clusters. And remember CRS HOME and ORACLE_HOME must be installed in DIFFERENT locations. CRS is REQUIRED to be installed and running prior to installing 10g RAC
Make sure of these two things which helps to solve all your linking problems.
1. Make that you are current on all the O/S patches.specially all the libs.
2. Make sure you set your PATH correctly. /usr/lib , /usr/ccs/bin , /usr/ccs/lib
Please refer to the note for the patches recommended in HP

Re: install oracle10g CRS on hpux 11i
Have you got any fix for this problem. I have a same problem as you. Whenever I excuted root.sh at the end of CRS installation, I have got:
Checking to see if Oracle CRS stack is already up...
Setting the permissions on OCR backup directory
/u01/crs/oracle/product/10.1.0/crs/root.sh[473]: 4368 Memory fault(coredump)
Failed to upgrade Oracle Cluster Registry configuration
Thank you,
Alireza

Re: install oracle10g CRS on hpux 11i
the issue with "gethrtime" is documented on Oracle Metalink Document ID 159789.1.
Apply PHCO_29029 and PHCO_25569 and try.
My problem was solved after I instakked these patches. No reboot needed.
