installing oracle9.2 for 11.x ( PA) on hpux 11.23 PA

Hello !

I been installed oracle9.2 on HPUX 11.23 for PA. The installation goes ok. All patches installed.

make -f demo_proc.mk sample , fail with syntax error on /usr/include/sys/siginfo.h .

The /usr/include/pa is at now on 11.23 version.

On $ORACLE_HOME/precomp/admin/pcscfg.cfg, i been included the new path, and the make shows other error ( stdio.h )

For HP-UX 11.23, you have a special version of Oracle, version 9.2.0.2.

I been installed 11.23 with PA procesors.

The instalation oracle 9.2 cdrom for hpux 11.x is the same for this version . is not ?

I have not IA procesors on this machine .

Ok, PA processors, but I think the libraries are like one used in Itanium, so, the version certified is 9.2.0.2, this is one thing that we discussed in HPWorld this year, the version 11iUD2 was going to join all 11i version, but, in Oracle´s case you must use a certified configuration, even if your installation was ok, Oracle will support only certified combinations...

Your configuration is not certified.

Even if you actually manage to get it to work Oracle will not support you.

You should stop now before you put too much more time into this situation.

You must use a certified OS/Processer/Oracle combination to run this product.

Hello Tomas,

Did you ever resolve the compile problem? I am working with a client that has the same problem with Pro*C failing with HP-UX 11.23 on PA-RISC.

Problem resolved. Added "code=ansi_c" to pcscfg.cfg file.
