Re: lan install is not working

Hi,

Make sure that you are using the built-in ethernet port and that it has not been disabled at the boot console level.

Hope this helps, Clay
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: lan install is not working

Hi

First U make sure that ur ethernet port is OK. Remove network cable and insert once again, Or connect the same cable in some other workstation and confirm that Hardware side is OK.

Then ...Do U have an Ignite Unix server in same subnet? If yes, Make sure that free IP address is available for assigning to clients. Then do search once again, Type like this

search lan install

If it is not finding, search 3 to 4 times..U will succeed. If U have only one Ignite server in subnet U can directly type

boot lan install

Best of luck

Re: lan install is not working

From a copy of your ioscan map the lan i/face back to the H/W/PATH
then down in th BCH, as usual:

SEA H/W/PATH
where H/W/PATH is the hardware path of your lan if.

Try booting directly from the hw path and noting the error/led indicators on the nic.

BO H/W/PATH

It works for me (tm)
