Solution
Problems with the media agent can be a number of things. Have your tried running 'uma' and doing some manual commands to ensure your robotic arm, etc. is working ok? That may be a good starting point to begin ruling things out...

And now that I finished my coffee....
You also need to check that your host is resolvable. So double check your /etc/hosts file and ensure that if you do a nslookup you can resolve on both IP and hostname.

i backup runs for some time it compleates about 10% then it aborts saying connection to media agent broken ==>>aborting
