onstat error

Hi admins,

I am receiving error following error in informix.

informix> onstat -
/usr/lib/pa20_64/dld.sl: ELF version in '/usr/lib/pa20_64/libdl.1' is unknown. Killed

I could find anything wrong with this file.

file dld.sl
dld.sl: ELF-64 executable object file - PA-RISC 2.0 (LP64)
[ROOT ctss90]lib/pa20_64 # file libdl.1
libdl.1: ELF-64 shared object file - PA-RISC 2.0 (LP64)
[ROOT ctss90]lib/pa20_64 # ll libdl.1

OS I am running is HP-UX 11.00 64 bit version.
and CPU-binary is PA-RISC 2.0.

What could be the issue ?

Please throw some light.

Radhakrishnan

Re: onstat error

Hi Radhakrishnan,

Have you done a fresh installation of Informix on this server, or copied informix from someother server, or it was working and suddenly today you have started experiencing this problem.

Re: onstat error

I am wondering if somehow the permission on these libraries have changed, or the directory specially libdl.1
or SHLIB parameter changed..

I just realized that you command is

# onstat -

I thought if should be

Re: onstat error

Hi,

I couldn't find any issues with the permission with the file.I compared the file with other system it looks ok.

Onstat - (will display following output)

informix> onstat -

Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.30.FC2XB -- On-Line -- Up 49 days 20:19:04 -- 1700472 Kbytes

Re: onstat error

How about if you copy the file from another system!
years ago, I use to support Informix 7.x running under 10.20, sometimes I had to shutdown and restart the databse. Also, the log files get full very fast which cause alot of problems. I'm sure the new version is better!

Re: onstat error

What about the other onxxxx commands ?
Do they work ???

try an onmode -l (skip to next logical log).
This will do no harm on the production machine.
