oracle client install failures

I tried to install oracle8.0.5 64bit enterprise for hpux11.0 including oracle client softwareã sqlplus etc.

When the installation procedure, there are some error messages:

1. linking error. NT driver table (ntcontab) not made. check the log file

2.The TNS listener executables were not relinked. Check the log file

3.linking error. Oracle Names executable will not made. check the log file

When the installation finished, I tried to run the program in the $ORACLE_HOME/bin/sqlplus or other executable program , it gives me the following messages:

execute permission denied

But I did give the files 777 permissions.

Any suggestion

make sure the path is right and relink oracle.

I think 777 is a little wide on those perms but assume you are just doing that because of the problem.
