patch for running 16bit apps. on 64bit 11.i?

Help. I need to find a patch to allow me to run 16bit oracle 7.3.4 on a new 64bit rp5470. any links? THANKS!

Sorry, no such patch exists to my knowledge.

I think Oracle 7.3.4 is 32 bit anyway. It *SHOULD* run on 11i, but there is no guarantee since Oracle 7.3.4 is way out of support.

Though 7.3.4 can run on 11i it is not supported by oracle.

make sure that you load the latest OS patch bundles.

Oracle does not support that.

Over the next two years, they are gradually pulling support for 8.1.7.4.0

Its time to plan an upgrade.

I also know several people that have tried and failed to get that version of Oracle working on 11.11(11i)

Its a good OS, but it can't do everything.

Run 11.0 64bit (not 11i) on your rp5470, thats what we do and were still runing our old 16bit oracle 7.3.4 databases fine.
