svrmgrm blinks too fast

After installing the bundle 700QKP1020 patch
to any C3600 HP-UX workstations(HP-UX 10.20), first problem after installing Oracle was that errors occur when starting the database.
Errors concerning /usr/lib/libcma.1 were
apearing. The first problem was cleared by
relinking the RDBMS Oracle 7.3.4, but then a
second problem was that when I run Oracle
Server Manager Motif mode (svrmgrm), the
GUI blinks so fast that I cannot do anything,
plus the speed of the GUI is so slow that I
couldn't do any administration tasks.
Sometimes when you click on a button in the
GUI it doesn't get clicked also.

Should there be anything that can be done or
any other patches should be installed?

Sounds as though you need to relink the rest of Oracle as well.

I believe you should ALWAYS relink Oracle after patching libraries and/or the kernel.

I'm not a DBA but I'm pretty sure about this.

Thanks for all fast replies.

I have already tried relinking ALL the products using orainst, BUT the GUI still remains flashing.

When I relinked the products, it was asking for library locations like libX11.sl, libXt.sl and libXm.sl, so I gave the location where they really were (/usr/lib/X11R4 and /usr/lib/Motif1.1 directory)

Any other suggessions? Thak you.

Maybe an answer to your problem.
This is from Oracle-support:

The HP-patch PHSS_19592 changes the /usr/lib/Motif1.2_R6/LibXm.2 which then causes the screen to flicker in svrmgrm.
You can either:
1. backout the OS-patch.
2. Copy the original libXm.2 back into /usr/lib/Motif1.2_R6/libXm.2
3. Obtain a fix from Oracle listed under BUG 1003237 (the patch is not available on Metalink).
