upgrading HP and ORacle

We are looking at upgrading from HP 10.20 to 11i. Does anyone know if Oracle V7.3.4 will run on 11i. I can't seem to find any documentation on this.

According to Oracle's certification matrix, 7.3.4 is supported on 11i BUT ..
It is only supporter on an Extended Maintenance Contract and you will need a different version of 7.3.4 on 11i than on 10.20.

hi,

why don't you consider also upgrading to the certified version of Oracle 8i (8.1.7.4) which should be quite straight forward and bring along quite some improvements. I don't think you will have any issues relating to the underlying application. (9i DB has)

Migration to 9i should be another option.

Though supported you are on the edge.

If you are going from a 32 bit platform to 64 bit hardware, you'll probably want to stay 32 bit with the software. There is a performance penalty there.

It's time to think about migrating that database, because support will eventually be dropped.
