what's 9808 extension pack?how to get it?

I'm installing Oracle8.1.6 for HPUX11.00.what's 9808 extension pack?and what's its purpose for?how i can get it.

Hmmm,

as oracle 8.1.x was not available in 1998, I suspect the extension Software Pack from August 1998 for HP-UX is meant.

Forget it and install a recent Support Plus Bundle instead.

not sure for 11.0, but for 10.2 i used to get in seperate CD.
for 11.0 i think all latest patches which comes in support CD

9808 Extension was a CD (many years ago) that had the current patches. As mentioned, it is completely out of date and you should use the Support Plus CD to load the latest patches. If you have no support services from HP, you can download the SupportPlus patches from http://www.software.hp.com/SUPPORT_PLUS/

It's common for software vendors not to update their requirements for the operating system.
